Counting Down to Paris: Rhymba Hills’ October Botanical Showcase

This October, Rhymba Hills takes Malaysian botanical heritage to Paris. For a brand whose blends begin in the highland farms of Pahang and the herb gardens of rural Malaysia, it’s a meaningful moment: a chance to share Malaysia’s traditional infusions with the city that shaped Europe’s appreciation of fine tea, gastronomy and considered hospitality.

And while the Paris countdown is on, we haven’t forgotten our friends in Hong Kong. Alongside our European showcase, we’re launching an October promotion for Hong Kong customers who want to discover (or gift) the flavours of Malaysia.

Why Paris, and Why Now

Paris has long been a place where tea is treated as something to savour rather than simply to drink. French tea salons, hotel lounges and épiceries fines have built a culture of curiosity around origin, terroir and blending, which makes it a natural home for a botanical infusion with a real story behind it.

The timing matters too. SIAL Paris, the international food trade show, will be held from October 17 to 21, 2026 at Paris Nord Villepinte, and up to 8,000 exhibitors and 295,000 professionals are expected. It is one of the most important weeks of the year for the global food and beverage trade, and a key reason Rhymba Hills is in Paris this October, meeting hotel, hospitality and retail buyers who are looking for the next distinctive offering for their guests and shelves.

Rhymba Hills already carries Paris award recognition, so this visit is something of a return. Our aim this time is to build lasting partnerships that bring Malaysian botanicals into European hotels, restaurants and specialist stores.

What We’re Bringing to Paris

Our showcase centres on the ingredients that define Rhymba Hills and set our blends apart from the familiar European herbal tisane.

Bentong ginger is grown in the cool highlands of Pahang and prized across Malaysia for its bold warmth and depth of flavour. Lemongrass and pandan, two pillars of Malaysian cooking, bring bright citrus notes and a soft, almost vanilla-like fragrance. Misai Kucing, a traditional Malaysian herb, has been part of local herbal practice for generations. Roselle gives a jewel-red colour and tart, fruity character, while Ceylon cinnamon and turmeric add gentle spice and golden warmth.

Every blend is naturally caffeine-free, making it an easy fit for the growing number of European guests looking for an evening drink, a mindful alternative to coffee or a hot beverage that suits any time of day.

For hospitality buyers, three things tend to stand out. The first is provenance: each blend tells a clear Malaysian origin story that guests can connect with, which is something we explored further in our look at the farmers behind our botanicals. The second is inclusivity, because Rhymba Hills is JAKIM Halal certified, giving hotels and caterers confidence when serving international guests with diverse dietary requirements. The third is presentation: our premium packaging is designed for gifting, turndown amenities and in-room tea selections.

A Malaysian Story, Told in Paris

Rhymba Hills’ visit to Paris is also part of a bigger picture. As a Visit Malaysia 2026 partner, we see every international showcase as a way of sharing Malaysian culture beyond our borders, in the same spirit we described in our article on how Rhymba Hills is sharing Malaysian culture with the world.

For Parisian audiences discovering Malaysian flavours for the first time, an infusion is a gentle introduction to a country that brings together Malay, Chinese, Indian and Indigenous culinary traditions. A cup of ginger and pandan or roselle and cinnamon is an invitation to learn more about where it comes from.
