Whenever there is any expo in town, we will always make it a point to pay a visit – to know the market trends and also to see what is new in the market.
This weekend, there is ‘Tastefully Food & Beverage Expo 2013″ in PWTC. There is also the Malaysian Food expo, in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2014.
What we realised about the Food Expo was, it was filled with housewives, who want to get a good bargain for their household, especially Chinese New Year is just around the corner. So the expo was a bit disappointing for us. It was filled with lots of snacks, junk food, and eager housewives looking for discounts.
This makes me wonder and ponder, the average Malaysian household is consuming a lot of junk food. All because they taste much better than healthy but boring real food. Sigh. We still have a long way to go to educate everyone about the importance of eating health.
There were only 3 booths promoting healthy food. But out of the 3, I would say that they are quite misleading. Their food is highly processed and contains little nutrition. Their selling point, is they dehydrate the fruits and vegetable (shall not name the company)
Thank goodness, our tea do not fall in the category. We sell wholesome Lemon Grass and Misai Kucing tea, just for you.
