In my personal opinion, the United States has always been a trend setter when it comes to organic and natural food. The culture of eating well and healthily (although sweet carbonated beverages and food with high calories are a norm there), seem to be more prevalent there, compared to us in Malaysia. With that in mind, Rhymba Hills took an educational trip to one of the largest food expo in the world (and the leading trade show for natural, organic and healthy products), the Natural Food Expo West.
The Natural Food Expo West was held in Anaheim Convention Centre in Anaheim, California from the 9th of March until the 13th of March 2016. The Natural Food Expo has been held annually for the past 10 years and had been increasing in exhibitors and attendees but this year, it recorded an astounding 77,000 visitors with over 3,000 exhibiting companies.
Produced by the New Hope Network, the Natural Food Expo West not only provided platforms for communities of natural, organic and healthy products industry players to network and highlight their products, they also offered educational programs in forms of conferences and keynote speeches on matters involving the organic, the natural and the healthy.
We really felt that it was an amazing experience to be able to visit the Natural Food Expo West this year as we managed to be up-to-date with new trends and innovative ideas involving the industry as well as see the value chain in these healthy products.

Inside the Hall
We were amazed and impressed with the wide array of healthy food and drink, that we have not seen anywhere else in the world. There was huge variety of herbal tea infusion (ginger turns out to be very popular here!) and the range of Ready to Drink (RTD) tea had also increased, compared to when we visited United States last year.
